OUR FIRM
We have been on the market since 1993, as one of the oldest Polish law firms serving businesses. Ever since our formation, we have specialized in legal assistance to the emerging IT sector, and subsequently the telecommunications industry. We were one of the first firms to provide advice on complex implementation projects; we have worked for a large percentage of the local and multinational IT companies active in Poland. At present, most of our services are designed for providers and customers of IT products and services.
Starting in 1995, we also became engaged in the public procurement sector — initially in IT projects, and subsequently in other industries: construction, energy , telecommunications, and insurance.
We are a relatively small team of fewer than twenty lawyers, operating by assignment to specific projects. We cooperate with the business and legal departments of our clients, supporting them in our specialization areas. Some clients have decided to outsource the whole legal aspect of their public procurement or IT projects to us. A reasonably calculated fee module gives them the comfort of ongoing service provided by experienced lawyers, access to know-how, and the certainty of their legal interests being properly secured.
The value of specific projects completed by our clients, where our law firm was the principal legal advisor, exceeded one billion zlotys on a number of occasions. We have seen through some IT projects that are unique on a national scale in Poland (the largest implementation and outsourcing projects, creation of corporate IT structures, multi-level licence models).
Our specialization includes representation in litigation, in courts of law and arbitration, at home and abroad, and in the National Appeals Chamber (KIO) which considers protests in public procurement tenders. We represented clients in Poland’s first disputes where damages where claimed for delays in implementation projects and in trials connected with termination of IT contracts.
